Pine of Albinas

Natural heritage objects

This pine was found and preserved by a forester of Bubiai forestry, Albinas Borusevičius; that is how it got the name of Albinas. The tree is 30 m high, girth of its trunk 2,8 m, and diameter is 0,9 m. In 2004, the pine of Albinas was declared the botanic object of natural heritage preserved by the municipality.

A part of Paraudžiai forest where the pine of Albinas has grown for over two hundred years is the special protection area (SPA). These natural territories were formed as soon as Lithuania joint the European Union. Centenarian coniferous tree plantations called as the West taiga are preserved in Paraudžiai forest.
